Joe Wade is a founding member of WoA and an attorney licensed in Virginia, Pennsylvania, and the District of Columbia. He has also been admitted to the Bar of the Supreme Court of the United States and is accredited by the Department of Veterans Affairs. He provides vital legal counsel to Whistleblowers of America, supporting its mission to protect and advocate for Whistleblowers.
Joe is a retired Navy Judge Advocate General (NJAG) civilian attorney who served as the senior appellant review authority for Navy and Marine Corps disability cases. He also served as legal advisor to the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Reserve Affairs and the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Military Personnel Policy.
He served as the Senior Legal Advisor to the Secretary of Defense in drafting the first Constitution Day on-line course required to be taken by all Department of Defense employees. After his retirement from NJAG he became a contractor for Booz Allen Hamilton developing policies for Wounded Warriors and Suicide Prevention.
